September Room Wine Club takes a trip through the seasons with one of the world’s best Champagne houses. The Maison Pommery first saw the light of day in 1836. It was in 1858 that Louise Pommery embarked on her “Pommery Revolution” undertaking the construction of the Domain which still stands today with its breath taking cellars in the Gallo-Roman chalk pits. Louise’s vision to open the estate to the world still lives on. Summertime and Wintertime were first created and launched in 1998 followed by Springtime and Falltime in 2005. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the subtleties and complexities of these outstanding Champagnes.
The evening is hosted by expert Barry Melton and gives you the opportunity to try all 5 Champagnes and a gourmet menu expertly paired by our Chef. Your host for the evening will introduce the pairings and present you with some background. The evening begins at 7.00pm prompt with canapés in the bar.
Vegetarian menu and other special dietary requires can be catered for, please advise when booking. A deposit of £10.00 per person is requested when you book to secure your place. Prices include VAT. An optional 10% service charge will be added to your bill. MORE members discount does not apply.
